Road Bike and MTB Water Bottles

Cycling bottles for every need and discipline

In racing as in training, staying hydrated is essential. That is why choosing your bottle should never be left to chance. Drinking regularly is a must if you want to keep performance high. But you can also use the bottle simply to cool your neck and head when the sun is beating down. Practicality and internal capacity: these are two elements to assess carefully. In the first case, the removable spout plays a key role; in the second, size matters. In fact, bottles are available in many variants. 500 ml, 750 ml, 900 ml: these are just some of the most common sizes. And when it comes to materials, the cap and bottle are usually made of odourless plastic. But if you are looking for an accessory with a retro design, you can choose from many aluminium or steel models.

Bottles with a competitive edge

Cycling at the highest level leaves no room for compromise. For road races, professional bottles must be ultra-light. That is why compact plastic models are preferred. Take, for example, the Elite Fly, the first choice for Jumbo-Visma, Lotto-Soudal, Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl and many other pro teams. With a 550 ml capacity, it excels in Grand Tours and official UCI season events. The same applies to the Fly MTB version, designed for cross-country. Here, however, the essential protective spout cover keeps your mouth safe from dust and mud. And paired with a side-entry bottle cage, it enables quick hydration on rough terrain. Clear or coloured, road and MTB cycling bottles stand out for their durability and longevity.

Models for road cycling and gravel

Even when the pace in the saddle is not frantic, the bottle remains a key piece of equipment. However, fans of trekking and cycle touring can allow themselves a little more in terms of weight. So there is room for very generous bottles, such as the Mavic Cap Pro in 650 or 800 ml. But the choice also extends to thermal cycling bottles capable of preserving liquid freshness. For winter, on the other hand, steel bottles make the difference. When outdoor temperatures drop, they allow you to keep drinks hot for longer. On the aesthetic side, metal bottles bring the vintage atmosphere of classic cycling to the saddle.
