Maap Solace Insulated jacket: Thermal Performance and Versatility
The Maap Solace Insulated jacket is a complete solution for those who practice cycling in variable conditions. Designed with a windproof ripstop outer shell, this insulated jacket delivers aerodynamic protection without compromising breathability. The dual-insulation system combines PrimaLoft® Gold insulation on the torso with Polartec® Alpha™ on the sleeves, hood, and back panel, ensuring intelligent thermal management. This configuration helps retain body heat where needed while promoting moisture dispersion in high-sweat areas, making it ideal both on the bike and for off-bike use.
Insulation Technologies and Climate Protection
The PrimaLoft® Gold insulation provides exceptional thermal insulation with minimal weight and bulk, ideal for those seeking performance without sacrificing ease of movement. Strategically placed Polartec® Alpha™ actively regulates airflow and speeds up drying times in critical areas, preventing moisture build-up during intense efforts. The windproof ripstop fabric creates a protective barrier against external elements while maintaining the flexibility needed for the rider’s movements. The combination of these technical materials creates a balance between passive insulation and active body-temperature regulation.
Ergonomics and Practical Use
The customizable fit, thanks to the drawcord adjustment systems on the hood and lower hem, allows precise adaptation to individual preferences. Two hand pockets provide quick access to essential items while riding, while the internal chest pocket offers dedicated space for devices or documents. The jacket’s modular construction supports a smooth transition between outdoor and indoor environments, maintaining thermal performance and protection in both use cases.
