Pas Normal Studios Mechanism Thermal jacket: Protection and Performance in Cycling
The Pas Normal Studios Mechanism Thermal jacket is an advanced technical solution for cycling in cold and wet conditions. The three-layer fabric with a Windtex Pro membrane delivers superior stretch and a close fit ideal for high-intensity training. Ultrasonically welded and internally taped seams provide effective thermal insulation, while the DWR treatment adds protection from the elements. The brushed fleece inner layer with a grid structure enhances breathability, keeping the body dry during activity. Laser-cut finishes on the hem and sleeves reduce chafing and create a clean, professional look.
Thermal Insulation and Waterproof Performance Specifications
The performance of the cycling jacket is validated by international standards: a breathability of 7 m²Pa/W (ISO 11092) allows body moisture to escape, while 10,000 mm water resistance ensures lasting protection in the rain. The YKK Vislon Aquaguard zipper is specifically designed to prevent water ingress along the closure. The anti-slip silicone insert on the back panel keeps the fabric in place while riding, and drainage holes in the rear pockets prevent liquid build-up. Extended cuffs ensure full wrist coverage, a critical feature in performance cycling apparel.
Design and Practicality for the Modern Cyclist
The jacket combines technical functionality with racing aesthetics, featuring a close-cut design that reduces aerodynamic drag while riding. The grid fleece lining inside the collar ensures next-to-skin comfort, while the laser-cut finishes eliminate the classic chafing issues typical of traditional sportswear. The structure of the thermal garment is designed to deliver freedom of movement without excess fabric, maintaining biomechanical efficiency. This combination of innovative materials and construction details makes the jacket suitable for both cycling enthusiasts and athletes looking for cycling protection without compromising performance.
