Maap Deep Winter long sleeve base layer: thermal base layer for winter cycling
The long sleeve base layer Maap Deep Winter is the ultimate solution for those who cycle during the coldest months. Made with Polartec® Power Wool fabric, it combines superior thermal insulation with advanced breathability. The brushed merino wool inner layer delivers an ultra-comfortable feel against the skin, while the stretch bi-component construction adapts perfectly to the body without restricting movement. This base layer is specifically designed to maintain thermoregulation even during intense efforts, drying quickly and resisting odors typical of prolonged sports activity.
Insulation and moisture management technologies
Polartec® Power Wool is a patented technology that combines the benefits of merino wool with high-performance synthetic materials. This fabric retains body heat even in humid conditions, unlike other materials that lose efficiency when wet. The shaped side panels reduce fabric bulk while maintaining a close fit, essential for aerodynamic comfort in the saddle. The durable synthetic outer layer protects against external elements, while the Jersey quick-drying construction allows for fast changes between consecutive rides. bluesign® certification ensures sustainable production without compromising quality.
Visibility and construction details
The integrated reflective graphics in the Jersey construction ensure visibility during winter rides in low-light conditions, a critical element for road safety. Odor resistance is a key feature for those who train on consecutive days without daily washing, thanks to the natural properties of merino wool. The fabric's two-way stretch allows complete freedom of movement, from the aerodynamic riding position to road riding and technical corners. The Jersey is available in Charcoal, a versatile neutral shade that pairs with any complementary cycling apparel.
