La Passione Leaf MTB shorts: off-road shorts for gravel and mountain biking
La Passione Leaf MTB shorts are women’s shorts designed for off-road and gravel rides. Worn over padded liner shorts, they offer a more casual look than close-fitting road cycling shorts, ideal for riding tracks and trails, taking breaks along the way or bikepacking. They are comfortable in the saddle and look natural off the bike too.
Stretch polyamide for comfort in motion
The fabric contains 94% polyamide and 6% elastane. Polyamide is an abrasion-resistant fibre, useful when riding among branches, rocks and dust, while the small percentage of elastane adds stretch. The shorts follow your pedalling motion without pulling at the knees and leave freedom of movement when you stand on the pedals or push the bike.
Cut, pockets and what to wear with them
The off-road cut is looser than road cycling shorts, comfortable in the saddle and suitable for stops too. Zipped side pockets hold your phone and small essentials, and reflective details at the rear increase visibility. They have no pad and should be worn with padded liner shorts. They come in sizes XS to XL.

Frequently asked questions
Do they have a pad?
No. These shorts have no pad and are worn over padded liner shorts. This lets you choose your preferred pad and wear the Leaf shorts comfortably during stops.
What type of riding are they for?
Off-road and gravel: tracks, trails, long rides with stops and bikepacking. The looser cut and durable fabric suit riders who venture beyond tarmac.
Is the fabric stretchy?
Yes. The 6% elastane makes the polyamide stretchy. The shorts follow your pedalling without pulling at the knees and leave freedom to stand on the pedals or push the bike.
What sizes are available?
The women’s model comes in dark grey Obsidian Grey, in five sizes from XS to XL. A men’s version of the Leaf shorts is also available.
