Saddles and seatposts

Discover saddles and seatposts for road, MTB and gravel, comparing shape, dimensions and compatibility according to your riding position.

Bike saddle, essential for the comfort of your rides

The road bike saddle is one of the three contact points between the cyclist and the bike, along with the pedals and handlebars. It is the support point for the glutes and has a major impact on comfort while pedaling.

Over time, saddles have evolved from the original single-piece model with a simple stretched leather layer to saddles with a shell and padding, with anatomical shapes and different models depending on body type.

Increasingly lighter

A bike saddle is made up of rails to attach the saddle to the clamp of the seatpost, a shell whose shape varies according to the model and manufacturer, padding that is more or less thick depending on the areas of the saddle, and an outer covering. The rails can be made of titanium, aluminum or steel, the shell is generally nylon and the outer covering has evolved from leather to synthetic materials.

Thanks to the use of carbon, it is now easy to build lightweight saddles that weigh less than 200 grams. There are saddles designed for every discipline, such as triathlon saddles, MTB saddles built with more durable materials, and for every need such as anti-prostatitis saddles with a central cutout or shorter saddles.

Bike seatpost, lightness and comfort

The seatpost is the connection between the saddle and the frame, to which it is fixed by means of the seatpost clamp. It is available in different shapes and materials: aluminum, carbon or titanium. Each material offers specific characteristics in terms of stiffness, weight and comfort, so as to deliver the best solution for each cyclist's requirements.
