Karpos Vertice Headband: a highly thermal headband for intense cold
The Karpos Vertice Headband is a highly thermal and breathable headband, ideal for trekking and leisure in intense cold conditions. Compared with lightweight headbands for high-intensity activity, it focuses on greater warmth to protect the forehead and ears when temperatures really drop. It is a thermal headband in One size, 11 cm high and with a net weight of 41 g.
Warm and breathable polyester fabric
It is made from 100% polyester, with a soft, lofty surface that traps air and insulates against the cold. Polyester absorbs little moisture and dries quickly, a useful feature when alternating between moving sections and stops. The 11 cm height covers the ears and much of the forehead, leaving the top of the head free to release excess heat.
Technical ratings and recommended activities
In Karpos's technical ratings, the Vertice achieves thermal insulation 3 out of 5 and breathability 4 out of 5, with wind protection rated 1 out of 5. The brand gives it the highest rating for hiking and 3 out of 5 for climbing, mountaineering and ski mountaineering: a warm headband for walking and leisure in the mountains, to be paired with a jacket hood when the wind picks up.
