Castelli Fly Direct vest: Lightweight Insulation for Spring Cycling
The Castelli Fly Direct vest is the ideal solution for those who cycle in moderate temperatures. Thanks to the Polartec® Alpha® Direct insulation, this vest offers an exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio, keeping the weight down to just 139 grams. The super-lightweight construction provides thermal protection without adding significant bulk, making it perfect to fold up and carry in your backpack. The windproof outer shell in woven microfiber with DWR treatment ensures protection from wind gusts and moisture while maintaining the breathability needed during physical activity.
Technology and Functional Design
The YKK® Vislon® zipper, with both top and bottom opening, allows precise body ventilation adjustment while riding. The three rear pockets provide enough space to store essential items without compromising aerodynamics. The waist reflectors increase visibility in low-light conditions, a crucial element for cyclist safety. The 10-19°C thermal range makes it particularly suitable for transitional seasons, when temperatures call for a cycling vest that is versatile and reliable.
Practicality and Portability
Foldability is a hallmark of this model, allowing it to be easily packed away when not needed. This makes it ideal for riders tackling varied routes where weather conditions can change rapidly. The combination of lightweight construction and thermal protection positions it as a smart choice for cyclists seeking performance without sacrificing comfort. The minimalist design adds no unnecessary weight, keeping the focus on functionality and build quality.
