Specialized Chisel - Grey

The new Specialized Chisel is the world's lightest alloy bi-axle bike. It is 18.4 percent lighter than similar models in its class, and thanks to the kinematics and geometry of its big sister, the Epic 8, the Chisel delivers great performance on every ride. Thanks to D'Aluisio Smartweld, the Chisel boasts the lightest aluminum XC frame in its class. Each frame tube is highly manipulated and features differentiated thicknesses and profiles that provide stiffness where it's needed, for efficiency, vibration absorption, comfort and optimal control. With Ride Dynamics-tuned 110mm travel suspension, the Chisel's performance pedigree can be traced directly back to the Epic 8, the World Cup race machine. The DNA of the Epic 8's advanced suspension kinematics, Ride Dynamics-tuned suspension, and progressive geometry honed on technical World Cup courses can all be found in the Chisel, making it more than capable of handling diverse terrain with confidence and speed. The Chisel is the most efficient bike in its class, using geometry and kinematics developed for the Epic 8. The advanced pylon positions the rider in an optimal pedaling position. Optimized anti-squat reduces pedal-bobbing. Put it all together and you'll understand how the Chisel translates every watt on the pedals into maximum forward motion. Specialized designed the Flex Stay chainstays so that the suspension would be at the top of its class, while eliminating the additional weight and maintenance of joints used by traditional design. Extensive field and lab testing showed that the Chisel achieved the impossible: the efficiency, control and light weight of the Flex Stay design-common on carbon bikes-with an advanced alloy. The one-piece hydroformed seat tube includes the bearing housing and bottom bracket shell, compared to a traditional alloy bike where the two components are welded together. Thus, the Chisel files down additional material and weight.

Non-EU shipping

Local VAT and any customs duties for shipments of goods to customers outside the European Union (non-EU) will be charged to the recipient and requested by the courier at the time of delivery. If the delivery is not made due to refusal to pay the customs duties (local VAT and any applicable tariffs) requested by the importing country, all costs incurred by us for the return of the goods will be deducted from the refund.
